AWE Special Event: November 8th, 1-4 p.m.
Artists Working in Education (AWE) is celebrating its 10th birthday this coming weekend and we want you to celebrate with us!
It's a Let's Make Art" Birthday Party...
...at the Brown Deer Golf Course Clubhouse (7625 N. Range Line Road-just north of Good Hope Road).
...November 8th, 1-4 p.m.
...it will entail ongoing hands-on art workshops for adults and children throughout the afternoon
-make handmade paper
-make "Something Out of Nothing" with recycled materials
-contribute to a collaborative collage with artist, Della Wells
-hear storyteller Mama Nomusa Xaba at 1:30
-be present for the 3:00 raffle drawing and birthday cake cutting
--Admission is $40/adult; $20/AWE artists and art teachers, children--NO CHARGE!
--Raffle items to include: a two-hour visit from the AWE Truck Studio, a Barbara Manger Printmaking workshop, a Sally Duback bead workshop, a commissioned portrait from Tom Stack, art supplies from Sax Arts and Crafts
