F1 Web Challenge

Here is a chance for us to give back. Sign up, join our team, and get some rest. We are hoping to carpool, so leave your info below if you need a ride/would like to be a ride and where you are coming from.

From the site:

Sierra Bravo hereby challenges our fellow web professionals (nerds like us) to join a friendly competition in donating 24 hours to build a complete website for a Minnesota non-profit organization — and everyone wins!

One part nerd Olympics, one part community service project and one part race-against-the-clock — Sierra Bravo’s F1 Overnight Website Challenge will partner deserving Minnesota non-profits with teams of talented web developers for 24 hours of fun collaboration culminating in a fully operational website for each participating non-profit.

I would be intrested in coming along to help.

Minneapolis welcoming committee

'Allo, fellow contender in Minneapolis. I'm going to try to plan a welcoming event. I might be able to scavenge up a few couches to sleep on too (8 might be a stretch though).

Looking forward to meeting you all. This is going to be fun!

Carpooling from Milwaukee

I am in Riverwest and and would like to grab a ride in a carpool.

This is a great opportunity for a coderaving reunion, kids (sans Treehouses!).

8:00am - 5 hours = 3am

when would this carpool be leaving? 3am on saturday? or on friday evening after work? maybe if we have a 'carpool driver' who's not participating so that we arrive home safely would be a nice idea... or is there a (non-greyhound) bus that goes there?

i'd love to participate in the shindig.. as long as we can figure out the ride situation.. any ideas from the peanut gallery?

MEGABUS!

http://www.megabus.com/us/

Dirt cheap if you schedule ahead of time ($16 round trip for sometime in February right now).

The way the times are setup you'd pretty much have to take off work on Friday and return on Sunday though :-/
